Women's Saturday Study
Studying Priscilla Shirer's "Gideon: Your Weakness. God's Strength."
We take your health and safety seriously. We are also convicted that it is right to respect the national and local authorities that are working hard to keep people safe. To that end, our final meeting will not be in person, but stay tuned. We are blessed to live in a time where technology allows us to meet remotely, and we will be wrapping up our study utilizing those technological means. The leadership of Little Chapel wants to thank you for your patience and flexibility as we transition through these changes as quickly as we can. We also want to thank you for helping us respect the request of national and local authorities to help stop the spread of the virus. Thank you for your heart to help us have a loving response to all the people of our community.
The Final Study in the Series is going to Zoom (On-line Meeting). Participants, please read the following letter from Erika:Hello Ladies~
As you may likely have anticipated Little Chapel has suspended all in person ministry gatherings until April 13th in an effort to help and respect the government’s efforts to contain COVID-19. Sadly, that will include our final Saturday study that is scheduled for April 4th.
Thankfully, though, we've made it through almost the entire study already! And while we'll miss seeing each of you in person for our final time, we have an idea about how we can still connect with one another and finish on a beautiful note.
We'd love for each of you to consider joining us on April 4th for a virtual Celebratory Study. --One last time of meeting and treasuring all we've learned from Gideon! It would work like this-- Your group leader will send an email that will contain an invitation link to a communication app called Zoom. At the designated time, (around 8:00 am on Saturday April 4th) you would click the link in the email and that would connect you on-line with your other small group members. Easy!! You would then be able to see their smiling faces and enjoy them in a unique and fun way, while going over our last week's homework. (There is no other downloading or signing up required if you click the link via computer-- if you connect via phone, you will be prompted to download the app.)
We could even access Priscilla Shirer's session 7 video individually--yet at the same time-- (instructions are below) and then meet again virtually as a large group a little later in the morning, just like we do every Saturday study, to wrap things up and let God put a big bow on what we’ve learned.
Please let your small group leader know if you'd be interested in this adventure of meeting virtually. She will make every effort to make sure things go smoothly for you. And who knows?! After 2 more weeks of a more quiet lifestyle, you may find yourself inclined to try something new in order to connect with your sisters in Christ.
Either way, we encourage you to wrap up the last week's homework with God. He's been GOOD-- teaching us, leading us, and I'm sure He has some final words to share through Priscilla's last week of homework that we can take to heart.
On behalf of Sondra, Becky, and Patty...we love each of you, and are trusting Him for the beautiful ways He will draw us closer to His heart through these hard times.~Erika
Studying Priscilla Shirer's "Gideon"
When we hear the name Gideon, most of us think about his 300 soldiers or a fleece spread beneath the evening sky. But Gideon's story is so much bigger that that. This is a story about God and His people - His love for them, as well as His strength operating in spite of, even through, their weakness.
This 7-sessions study will encourage you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, learn to see them as the gifts given specifically and strategically by God. If you've ever felt insufficient, ill-equipped, incompetent, or outnumbered, this study is for you.
